Knitting Tutorial | Centered Double Decrease (CDD) | WAK
This technique is used to decrease 2 stitches at once, but instead of forming a diagonal shape, this type of decrease remains centered. This decrease is used mostly in decorative lace stitches.
To knit a centered double decrease, slip the next two stitches from the left knitting needle to the right knitting needle as if to knit two together. Knit the next stitch on the left knitting needle. Insert the left knitting needle into the two slipped stitches and pull them over the first stitch and off the right knitting needle.

This video is "almost" correct.......You're better off just doing a "right over left, left over right" square knot (or surgeon's knot)......the yellow strands in the video (to the right) come out correctly....under the blue loop.....but the blue strands on the left should BOTH be coming out OVER the yellow loop on the left....But in the video only one blue strand is on top of the yellow loop....that is incorrect and will fail when actually pulled tightly.

Why do you call it knitters? Knitting is used with two needles whereas crocheting is with one with a hook at the end. There's a difference.

Not sure why my knot comes undone. Seems secure, Made sure I crossed strands correctly, tested the knot. Made sure I didn't cut too close, tested the knot. Knit a couple rows and knot comes undone. Seems like a great idea. Maybe it's user error, but not working out well for me.

There's a fascinating video you might enjoy - it's on RUclips, so easy to access - "Shetland knitters really did knit 200 stitches a minute!" Thecwoman who put it together has actual film footage from the very early 1900s showing just how fast women in some cultures could knit, and she does an excellent analysis of knitting techniques used back when it was a major part of the economy in the Shetland Islands.

It never worked for me... i read on others comment yarn might be a bit slippery & you can make 1 small knot next to the original knot to prevent the slippery. This is like other's commented that it's not a fail safe. I haven't tried the Russian method, might be I'll soon❤🎉

Beautiful music but absolutely NOT HELPFUL. An explanation of what stitches are being sewn together at the beginning and zooming out to show the whole piece of the project so the viewercan get their bearings on what is actually being done would be more helpful.
